“Working with heritage, cultural, and community organisations to develop meaningful projects and to understand what changes, why it matters, and what can be said responsibly about wellbeing.”

Designing, delivering, and evidencing  projects that support wellbeing

What Strata Insight Does

Strata Insight is a specialist research and consultancy practice working at the intersection of heritage/community, wellbeing, and social impact. We support organisations to design, deliver, and understand projects that aim to create meaningful change and to evidence that change in ways that are credible, ethical, and proportionate to real-world delivery.

Many community projects aim to support wellbeing, connection, and recovery, but struggle to translate these ambitions into deliverable activities, ethical practice, and credible evidence. Strata Insight helps organisations navigate this complexity across the full project lifecycle, from early project design and delivery through to proportionate evaluation, learning, and honest interpretation of evidence.

How We Work

Strata Insight works flexibly across the full lifecycle of heritage and wellbeing projects. Organisations may engage with us at any stage from early ideas and funding applications, through live project delivery, to reflection, learning, and reporting.

Our approach is grounded in three principles: conceptual clarity, proportionate rigour, and real-world practicality.

Experience and Credibility

Strata Insight is a founder-led consultancy, building on extensive experience delivering research, evaluation, and advisory work across heritage, higher education, and public-sector contexts, including defence-adjacent environments.

This experience informs a strong understanding of governance, ethics, and public accountability, alongside the practical realities of delivering projects with communities in non-clinical settings.

Who We Work With

We work with heritage organisations, cultural and landscape projects, universities, and public-sector partners. Our work often supports projects engaging veterans, structurally disadvantaged groups, and communities in coastal, rural, and post-industrial contexts.

Strata Insight works as a trusted critical friend: supportive, rigorous, and honest about what evidence can and cannot say.

If you would like to discuss evaluation, research, or strategic support for a current or future project, please get in touch to arrange an initial conversation.
